Description
Illahe takes its name from a local Chinook word which can be translated to mean earth, soil or place. The focus at Illahe is to produce utterly natural small-parcel wines of astonishing provenance. The vines are cared for by hand, the grapes hand-harvested, and the wine bottled by hand. As part of the all-in natural approach, horses are used to mow the vine rows and to transport the harvested grapes to the winery. Illahe's Viognier is dry with bright, driving acidity, tones of peach, apricot, tropical fruit and orange citrus, and a refined mineral undertone. Try this wine with grilled pork, chicken, or Asian cuisine.
