This Champagne house was founded by Claude Moët way back in 1743 - that's the birth year of Thomas Jefferson, and predates the French Revolution by nearly half a century! 2008 in Champagne was a classic vintage, yielding elegant sparkling wines. This one, a blend of 40% Chardonnay, 37% Pinot Noir and 23% Pinot Meunier, is lively and toasty with superb complexity and depth of flavour.
