Description
Cakebread is one of the most highly esteemed wineries in Napa Valley. The early success of their Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay and Cabernet built a loyal following and enabled the family to continue acquiring top vineyards. This Savvy spends five months in oak, adding mellow toasty notes to the ripe tropical fruit and veggie characteristics.

Tasting Notes
A little over 20% of this Sauvignon Blanc was fermented in oak, and about 4% in concrete egg, with the rest in stainless steel. The result is additional complexity and texture without an impact on the primary character of the fruit. Expect grapefruit, orange citrus and a flinty minerality. Pair with sushi or grilled white fish.
