Versinthe Absinthe

Like traditional Absinthe , this is not a Pastis , as it contains no licorice in the blend . Unlike traditional Absinthe , this contains the distillates from the leaves of wormwood , not the roots . Versinthe is already sweetened for you , so the ritual with the sugar , the water and the slotted spoon is unnecessary . While purists may prefer to drink it straight , for its refreshing bitter taste , most will prefer to let the ' green fairy ' out ( the drink turns a milky glowing green colour ) by adding 6 - 10 parts iced water per measure of Versinthe .
