Tasting Notes
The wine is heavy bodied with a deep mauve red colour hue. On the nose the wine is very complex with dark fruit notes of plum, cherry, blackberry and raspberry jam, with subtle hints of dark chocolate, cigar box, vanilla and licorice. On the palate the wine confirms the aromas on the nose. The acidity and tannins are firm; however, the tannins are sweet and juicy. The finish is long and lingering. This wine is very drinkable now as well as reward those who lay it down for a few years. Pairs well with red meat dishes, spit roasted lamb, game and cheeses. Drink 2016-2030.
