Tasting Notes
'A baby Corton' is how Gr�gory Patriat describes this wild, savoury red from 80-year-old vines. Lightly extracted to avoid too much tannin in 2018, it's a very fine, beautifully judged red with spice and texture from 50% whole bunches, a hint of 25% new wood and lovely detail, brightness and poise. If it weren't called Beaune, people would be clamouring for the wine. Drinking window: 2023-2032. Score - 95. (Tim Atkin, MW, decanter.com, Oct. 19, 2018)
