Tasting Notes
Wine Enthusiast - 92 Points - For his Rosso di Montalcino, wine ages in wood, even though it is not required by law to do so, and Potazzine uses vineyards that are technically allowed to be used for Brunello to make the Rosso. Many years ago, Potazzine made the big decision to stop using any small oak barriques for aging, as the wood component was too strong for the supple, balanced style Potazzine was seeking. Today, only 100% Slovenian oak in 10 hectolitre and 30 hectolitre sizes. A true treasure!
