Tasting Notes
Here's a darkly saturated and rich Barolo that opens to impressive intensity and depth. The Giribaldi 2014 Barolo offers a wide and large aromatic presentation with dark fruit, forest floor and black truffle. This wine ages in tonneaux for 30 months, and those oak tannins add a lot to the structure and the texture of this full-bodied Barolo. Some 14,000 bottles were made. Mario Giribaldi has done a very nice job in 2014. Drink Date: 2020-2035. Score - 92. (Monica Larner, robertparker.com, Aug. 31, 2018)
