Description
TASTING DATE: Angelo Pavan has crafted an impressive pinot from the excellent 2007 harvest. This medium-bodied yet concentrated red comes from stony, limestone-rich clay soil in the Beamsville Bench. Nuances of cherry, dark plum and chocolate and a good dollop of toasty oak are carried on a blanket of smooth tannins. Score: 90 (Beppi Crosariol, The Globe and Mail, July 26, 2011)
Tasting Notes
Bright ruby-red. Medicinal cherry, blackberry, red cherry and cocoa on the nose. Fresh, juicy and tightly wrapped, with tangy flavors of red berries, dried herbs and minerals supported by firm acidity. Finishes bright and long, with a firm tannic spine.
