Tasting Notes
Bright ruby-red. Medicinal black cherry, menthol and earth on the nose. Intensely flavored and nicely delineated, with very good cut to the crushed cherry and soil flavors. In a distinctly cool, almost austere style. Stylish and firmly tannic if a bit linear today and in need of at least a couple years of cellaring. But today I find this serious cabernet more suave and less green than the 2007 version. Score - 90(+?). (Stephen Tanzer, International Wine Cellar, May/June 2011)
