Tasting Notes
A cool and highly restrained nose is all but mute and it requires aggressive swirling to reveal aromas of floral, citrus and green apple that are trimmed in just enough wood to notice. There is both good volume and mid-palate concentration to the broad-shouldered, muscular and notably powerful flavors that exude hints of stone on the somewhat drying and slightly clipped finish where a touch of warmth appears. It's hard to say whether this will harmonize or not but it's definitely awkward today. Drink: 2024+. Score - 89-91. (Allen Meadows, burghound.com, June 10, 2019)
