In creating this new wine in the Veuve Clicquot stable, cellar master Dominique Demarville blends the Extra Brut Extra Old entirely from reserve wines - specifically from the 1988, 1996, 2006, 2008, 2009 and 2010 vintages - and adds a low dosage of just 3 g/L (compare the Veuve Yellow Label at 10 g/L). After blending, the wine ages a further three years in bottle, making this a unique and exceptionally complex bubbly with a remarkable combination of smoothness and freshness.
